Warsaw Grocery is a gas station and deli in Byhalia on Highway 309 a little north of MS-178. I went there a couple of weeks ago on suggestion of a friend and I was impressed! The food was really good and the prices were very reasonable.

I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and a side of jalapeno poppers. I don't remember the exact total but it seems like it was around $18 or $20 including a drink.

I will definitely go back. There were several things on the menu that sounded good.

Waffles and Pancakes is a breakfast and lunch cafe in Marion, AR on Highway 77 at Judge Smith Drive. I went there a couple of weeks back for the first time and it was so good I went back a few days later.

Most people that know me know that I normally don't care one way or the other about breakfast food. I can generally take it or leave it, but I had heard lots of good things about this and decided to give it a try.

They also have lunch items and the cashier told me that you can order anything on the menu any time they are open. They open pretty early, 6:00 AM and close around 2:-00 PM I believe. They are closed right now for 3 or 4 weeks for what they call annual employee vacation.

As you can surmise, I was very impressed. The first trip I ordered the combo breakfast. I don't remember what it was called but it was two pancakes, three bacon strips, two sausage patties, three eggs, and hash browns. It was more than I could eat.

The total was only around $18 or $19 with tax before tip and the service was very good.

The second trip I ordered country fried steak which came with two eggs, toast, and hash browns and it was very good as well. The total was a little more but not much. Only about a dollar or two.

I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it!

Vicari is a higher end Italian restaurant in downtown Corinth on Cruise Street near North Fillmore Street. I went there a few weeks back with two friends from high school who live in that area.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed. I ordered chicken Parmesan with no side items and my total with a drink was over $40. It was okay but nothing spectacular. My friends both ordered steaks and one of the steaks was cooked well done even though she asked for it medium rare. They brought her another steak after claiming they must have brought her the wrong one because there was a large party but the second second steak was overcooked as well. Also the service was a little lacking.

I've heard good things about them so I hope it was just an off night. I will go back and give them another chance sometime.

Red Hook is a seafood restaurant in Southaven on Airways Boulevard in the strip shopping center that is at Airways and Goodman. I went there a few days ago with a friend for dinner.

I didn't realize it was a chain until I looked it up just now and I usually don't review chains but since I already got started I'll go ahead and finish.

The food was pretty good. It wasn't "great" but it was definitely good and the prices were reasonable for what I got, especially for a full service restaurant.

I ordered a shrimp and fish basket with onion rings and the total was only about $21 including a drink. Also the service was very good. The waitress was friendly and did a good job.

I will definitely go back and I recommend it.
