Al's is a small wings shop on Goodman Road in Horn Lake at Bullfrog Corner (Goodman Road and Highway 51) where West Coast Burrito used to be. We ordered from there last night at work.

It was really good. It seems a little pricey but the food was great and the service was fantastic! I ordered a cheeseburger and fries but and my coworkers ordered wings and egg rolls. I tried one of the Philly cheese steak egg rolls and they were great as well. There was queso for the egg rolls that was great as well.

My total with one extra canned drink was about $25 I think. Again it was a little pricey but worth it! Much better than some other places that are about the same price.

I will definitely be back!

Pericos is a Mexican restaurant in Arlington on Highway US 70 a little south of I-385. I went there a few weeks ago on recommendation of a friend. They do not appear to have a website.

It was really good and I will definitely be back. The prices were about average for Mexican restaurant.I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was made a little differently than most places. Instead of being folded, it was made like a sandwich with the filling between two quesadillas.

I definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

Abe's is a small barbecue restaurant in Clarksdale on State Street basically at the corner of Desoto Avenue which is the "Crossroads,' one of the supposed crossroads where, in legend, Robert Johnson met the Devil to make his deal.

I've passed it several times but never had a change to stop. I stopped there a few weeks ago after eating somewhere else and got a sandwich to go to have later that day.

It was really good. Of course it would have been better if had eaten it fresh while I was there but it was still good. I want to go back and try it again.

My total for two sandwiches was about $18 or $19 and that was for the large sandwiches so it was pretty reasonably priced.

Mike Wilson's Steakhouse is a new steakhouse on Expressway Drive in Olive Branch which is right off Highway 305 north of Highway 78 at East Sandidge Road. It's in the same building where Old Style Barbecue used to be.

I went there a few weeks ago for dinner and it was really good.  I ordered the filet with a potato, a sausage and cheese plate, and an order of fried green tomatoes (the tomatoes were for a friend of mine who showed up later). Everything was really good. In particular, I liked the fried tomatoes which is unusual because I normally don't care for those. All together including tip my total was about $84 which is pretty reasonable considering what all I ordered.

I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Magnolia and May is a small semi-upscale restaurant on Mt. Moriah Road just off of Mendenhall Road near the Half Shell and Gus' Chicken.

I went there a few weeks ago for dinner. I wasn't all that impressed with my meal especially for the price but my friend said his was very good.

I ordered catfish and a sausage and cheese board. It was decent but not really worth what I paid. My total with tip was about $65. I ordered water and after dinner I wanted something else so I ordered a Diet Coke. They brought out a canned drink and it was almost $5. I've heard many good reviews of them and I will go back and try something different.

Wasabi is an Asian fusion restaurant on Sanderlin Avenue north of Poplar in the same parking lot as the Doubletree Hotel and Whole Foods market.

I went there a few weeks ago for lunch with a friend and it was pretty good. I ordered two sushi rolls and some other item but I don't remember what. Everything was good and my total including tip was about $46. I would definitely go back.

Crossroads is a small seafood restaurant in Hernando on Highway 51 just south of I-304. I went there a few weeks ago while in the area and was pretty impressed. It wasn't incredible but it was pretty good for the price. I will definitely go back.

I ordered fish and shrimp and it was pretty good. The price was about average, my total with drink and tip only being around $23.

I definitely recommend trying them!

Fratello's is an Italian restaurant in Hernando on the east side of Highway 51 just north of Commerce Street. I went there a couple of weeks ago while in the area.

My review is mixed. Overall the food was good but the lasagna was a little tough as were the sausage balls that came on the cheese plate that I ordered. It was also a little pricey for what I got. Including everything my total was around $53. That's not extremely expensive, just a little expensive for the quality.

I will probably go back but for Italian food the food and price is much better at Grisanti's in Southaven.

Pho Saigon is a Vietnamese restaurant on Poplar Avenue just east of Racine Street, or just east of Amro Music store. I went there a few weeks ago after a training class I was taking in the area.

Overall I really liked it. I ordered an appetizer of spring rolls which I didn't care for much but I'm sure they are just fine. They were not fried like you see in many other Asian restaurants but wrapped in rice paper. I saw several other people that seemed to be enjoying them, it just wasn't for me.

The pho I ordered on the other hand was fantastic. I don't remember which specific dish I ordered but it was noodles with shrimp, chicken, and steak. I took about half of it home and had two more meals the next.

It seems like the price was a little over $20 including a drink so the prices are pretty decent. I will definitely be back.

Windy City is a bar and grill in downtown Hernando on Commerce Street on the square just west of Highway 51. I had been there before but apparently did not post about it.

I went there last week and ordered catfish based on a friend's suggestion and it was really good. I also got a sausage and cheese plate. I didn't realize it was going to be as much food as it was and I took most of the sausage plate home and had enough for two more meals.

The prices are a little higher than average but the food and service is good, and it's on the downtown square so that's sort of to be expected.

I will definitely go back!

El Patron is a Mexican restaurant in Bartlett on Stage Road right by the tracks at Bartlett Road. I went there this past weekend to have dinner with a good friend who was in town.

I ordered a chicken chimichanga and it was pretty good. The prices were about average. When I was done eating and had already paid I asked for another drink and I was charged for it. I was a little annoyed by that but it's not that big of a deal. Otherwise the service was really good.

Rancho Grande is a Mexican restaurant in Southaven on Getwell Road a couple of blocks south of Goodman Road. I went there a few days ago mainly because their marquee says "best cheese dip in town" or something like that.

Honestly, it may have been. It was really good and was certainly some of the best I've had. It had a lot of flavor!

I ordered a quesadilla, a couple of tamales, and the cheese dip and everything was good. The service was also very good. I will definitely be back!

Molly's is a staple in Memphis and it's been around for a long time but I hadn't been there in many years. It's on Madison Avenue in Midtown just west of Cooper Street. The food was really good and service was as well.

I ordered the enchilada combo with one beef, one chicken, and one shrimp. I will definitely be back! I can't remember how much it was but it was reasonably priced.

Also, just in case this matters to you, they are a "posted property" meaning they don't want you to bring firearms in even if you have a permit.
