Biscuits and Jams, Bartlett, TN

Biscuits and Jams is small breakfast cafe in Bartlett on Stage Road west of Sycamore View in the shopping center where Baskin Robins is. I went there today for breakfast and was very impressed.

The prices were pretty reasonable, the food was great, and the service was fantastic! I definitely will be back and highly recommend them!

I ordered the "Three Little Pigs" which wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting pigs in a blanket but instead it was a waffle with sausage cooked inside and the "Rise and Shine" which was a chicken biscuit with syrup and a few fried pickles. Everything was really good. The total including a drink and tax was about $16 which was really reasonable for the amount of food.

East End Grill, Memphis, TN

East End Grill, Memphis

MAP

East End Grill is a bar and grill with several locations in Memphis. I went to the one on Winchester at Hack's Cross by the Kroger this past Sunday night, partly because it was the only thing open in the area at the time I was out and looking for food.

The food was really good. I got a club sandwich, my friend got fried green tomatoes, and we split an appetizer of fried cheese. The fried cheese was particularly good.

We ordered a couple of adult drinks so the bill was a little higher than normal. All together it was about $57 but that was for a lot of food and a couple of drinks.

I've posted before about an issue I had at the location in Bartlett once when they had the music turned up so loud it was literally rattling glasses at the bar, but that was once a long time ago and I haven't ever had any issues like that since.

I will go back when I'm in the area.

ADDITIONAL INFO

This location (and the others may be also, I'm not sure) is "posted" for no guns, if that is of any interest to you.

Wally Hatchet's, Memphis/Bartlett, TN

Wally Hatchet's

MAP

Wally Hatchet's is a breakfast/lunch restaurant in Memphis near Bartlett on Summer Avenue/U.S. 70 just north of Elmore Road. I went there yesterday for lunch with a friend. She got eggs and pancakes and I got a pimento and cheese burger.

My friend said her breakfast was really good. My sandwich was pretty good but I would try something else next time. I don't remember the exact price but it was about average for a small cafe. I will definitely go back.

Staks, Germantown, TN

Staks

MAP

Staks is a local pancake/breakfast shop with a couple of locations in Memphis and the surrounding area. I went to the one in Germantown on Poplar Avenue east of Germantown Road last Wednesday morning. They open pretty early and I was up running an errand.

I ordered a combo with eggs, sausage, pancakes, and a biscuit. It seemed a little pricey, about $15 including a drink, but the food was great and it's a full service restaurant. You order your food then they bring it to you table. The sausage was a little tough but it tasted great. I don't have any complaints. I'll definitely go back.
