El Nopalito is a small Mexican restaurant in Holly Springs basically at the corner of Highway 78 and Highway 7 in a strip center just off Highway 7. It's actually on Crescent Meadow Drive so you have to exit onto 7 then turn into the shopping center.

I went there this past Wednesday on recommendation of a friend and was pleased. The food was good and the prices were about average. It's a little over half an hour from Southaven so it's not a really short drive but if you're in the area it's worth a stop.

I ordered a chicken enchilada and a burrito on the lunch special and it came with rice and beans. I don't remember exactly how much it was but it was average. Somewhere around $16 or $17 including cheese dip and tax.

It's a plus from me!

Pho Sushi and Bistro, Memphis, TN

Pho Sushi is a small sushi restaurant near Saint Francis hospital, off Primacy Parkway between Five Guys burgers and the Happy Mexican restaurant. I stopped in there randomly today after a doctor's appointment. I was going to just run through the McDonald's and get something quick but they were busy and I saw this place behind it.

I ordered an appetizer of e Gyoza Dumplings and a spicy sushi roll with salmon and both were very good. With a drink and tax it just was under $20 not including tip. I will definitely go back there if I'm in the area.

Rockin Rolls Ice Cream, Southaven, MS

Rockin Rolls is a quaint little ice cream shop on Millbranch in Southaven north of Stateline near Illusion Ink Tattoo Parlor. I went there a few weeks ago before the COVID closings because I saw it and wanted to try it. It was really good and I will be back.

I ordered chocolate ice cream with chocolate syrup. I had no idea what to expect but they scoop it up with a flat scoop and roll it up as you can see in the picture. The prices were about average. I think what I got was around $6.00. It's definitely worth a try.

El Agave is a new Mexican restaurant in Southaven on Airways Boulevard south of Goodman Road near the Firestone car repair center. I went there a few nights ago with a friend and unfortunately was a little disappointed.

The food wasn't bad but it was about average, average prices, the service wasn't particularly good, and there was a table full of extremely obnoxious, loud customers next to us which made it very difficult to have any kind of reasonable conversation with my friend.

I will give them another chance but for now I'm leaving my review at that. Maybe it's related to the COVID closings and maybe they were short staffed. I'll be optimistic and hope that next time it will be better.
