David's is a fast food burger joint in Arkansas (and probably other places). I don't normally review fast food places but we don't have them near me and they were really good, ESPECIALLY for a fast food place, and the service was excellent.
The price for a number one combo was only about $11 and it was really good. I'm not going to go into many details since it's a fast food place but if you're in the area it's worth a visit!
The Chicago Steakhouse is a semi-upscale steakhouse in Tunica at the Gold Strike Casino (obviously). Gold Strike is one of the three casinos that you come to first as you come from Memphis. I went there a couple of weeks back with one of my best friends and her two daughters. I haven't been to Tunica, or any casino, in a couple of years but I got a coupon for $80 in free food and some free table play coupons because I did used to gamble.
The service was fantastic and food was equally good. The total bill was somewhere around $240 for all four of us which isn't bad at all considering it's a steakhouse and considering what all the ordered.
I ordered a filet and a bowl of French onion soup, one of the girls ordered a sirloin (I think), and my friend and her other daughter ordered a creamed spinach side item, and I ordered a charcuterie board for all of us and everything was fantastic.
I had a small handful of table play which I played at Baccarat. I played all eight of them on the banker like you're "supposed" to and I got my butt kicked, but I won enough to leave for a tip.
I highly recommend them. At one time or another I've been to the steakhouse at every casino in Tunica as well as a few in Las Vegas and some non-casino related steakhouses other places. It's right up at the top of the list.
Sushi Kingdom is a new sushi restaurant on Park Avenue just east of Mount Moriah, in the front edge of the Eastgate shopping center. I went there tonight for dinner.
They are a little pricier than the place in Southaven where I usually go but to be honest the food was better overall. The total was about $26 including a 20 percent discount which is offered during the week if you show them the coupon on their Facebook page. I'm unsure if that is a grand opening special or if it's going to be normal.
I ordered several different rolls and two appetizers and they were all good and the service was very good as well.
I highly recommend it!
Mexico Grill is a new Mexican restaurant in Southaven on Goodman Road at the corner of Elmore. They have several locations, including one in Tunica, MS which I have also been to.
The food was really good and the prices were about the same as other Mexican places. I really like the one in Tunica but this one will be much more convenient since it's right down the street from my house.
I ordered a chicken quesadilla and I really liked it. I will definitely be back!
Ron's is a small cafeteria style restaurant in West Memphis on North Missouri Street just south of I-40. I went there last week for a quick lunch. It was really good and reasonably inexpensive. I think my total was $15 including two canned drinks. I got three pieces of chicken and two generous helpings of side items which were mac and cheese and mashed potatoes.
The service was really good even though it was cafeteria style. One of the ladies brought my drink to the table and the cashier made sure my drink was filled.
I will definitely be back!
La Carnita is a small Mexican cafe on Winchester Road just west of Goodlett Street. I went there about a week ago for lunch based on a suggestion of a friend. It turns out I had been there before but it used to be called something else so I chose to do a new entry for it.
I ordered something really simple because I wasn't all that hungry. I got rice and chicken, and it was really good! I don't remember the price but it was very reasonable.
I will definitely be back and I highly recommend it.

Silver Caboose is a small restaurant and soda fountain on the north side of the square in Collierville. I went there a couple of Sundays ago with a friend. The food was great and so was the service. I ordered a club sandwich with a salad and my friend and I split an order of cheese sticks and jalapeno poppers. I don't remember the exact total but it was around $30 including a tip which was very reasonable for what I got.
They are only open limited hours so be sure to check before you go. I will definitely be back!
