Fox Ridge Pizza has been around for a long time but they moved Brookhaven Circle a few years ago, just a little north of Poplar Avenue. I had not been the to the Brookhaven location and tried it a few days ago specifically to try their cheeseburger. Several people told me that they have really good burgers.

I ordered a burger, fries, and a salad. The burger was pretty solid. It wasn't the "best" I've ever had (best is so subjective) but it was good. The blue cheese dressing for the salad was really good and next time I think I'm going to make my burger a blue burger.

The prices were fair, about the same as most other bar and grill restaurants. I definitely will be back and I do recommend it.

Also I think it's worth noting, the guy at the table next to me ordered a basic cheese pizza and it looked fantastic. I saw a beef pizza a few tables away that looked really good too.

Jack Pirtle's Chicken, Memphis, TN

Jack Pirtle's - Their regular website doesn't seem to be working. They have several locations around Memphis so just google them.

Jack Pirtle's is a long time Memphis staple. They are known for chicken but they also have a reputation for a great steak sandwich and burger. I had not been to a location in many years but I made my way over to the location on Elvis Presley Boulevard a couple of days ago to try the steak sandwich which I had never had. When I was young we used to go to the location on Summer Avenue for chicken and chicken livers. I don't remember for sure but back then I think they had a much more limited menu than they have now.

To be honest, I wasn't that impressed. It was decent but nothing spectacular. I may try to go to another location.

It is worth mentioning that the customer service was very good. Everyone was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly.

It's also worth mentioning that I tried to go the night before and even though the hours show they are open until 10 PM, I tried one location at about 9 PM and it was already closed and I went to another location a few minutes away and was told that, even though they were open until 10, the grill was off and they weren't serving food. I didn't ask but I guess you could still get drinks and maybe ice cream if they serve that (I don't know if they do).

They are also supposed to have a good burger and a good chili dog and I will go back and try those at another location and may make another post if it's any better.

Dos Compadres is a Mexican restaurant in Olive Branch on MS-178 a few blocks south of Goodman Road or a few blocks north of Hacks Cross. It's relatively new; It used to be called something else and I had been there once too.

I went there a few weeks ago for the first time and really liked it. It was authentic Mexican and everything was spicy but I loved it!

I don't remember the exact price but the prices were great! I highly recommend trying them out.

Condado is a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar in Louisville on Shelbyville Road/Hwy 60 near Christian Way in the complex where Top Golf is. I was passing through Louisville a couple of weeks ago on the way back from Ohio and my friends and I stopped there for dinner.

The food and service was really great. I got nachos, my friend got a couple of tacos, and her daughter got chicken and rice. I don't remember the total but it was reasonable for what all we got.

If you're in the area I definitely recommend trying them.
