Bobby's is a home cooking cafeteria in the shopping center near the corner of West Markham Street and North Shackleford Road just west of I-440. I went there a couple of days ago while in Little Rock. It was really good and pretty inexpensive.

I got country fried steak, beans, and mashed potatoes. My total was around $13 for an entree and two sides with a drink and it was plenty of food. The service was good (although it's cafe style, they don't come to your table) but no tip was ever asked for.

Also, they are CCW friendly if that's of any interest to you. I will definitely go back.

Cravin' Catfish is a seafood buffet in Sherman, MS on Cemetery Lane, just north of Highway 178. I went there two weekends ago with a friend on recommendation from another friend.

It was pretty good and the price was very reasonable for a buffet. The total was $17.58 before tip including a drink (drinks are included with the price). They stay pretty busy and they are only open a few days per week so be sure to check their hours.

I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Bog and Barley is an Irish pub in the Regalia Shopping Center at the corner of Poplar Avenue and Shady Grove Road in the same lot as Ruth's Chris. I was next door to it running an errand and stopped in for lunch.

I ordered bangers and mash which is sausages on top of mashed potatoes. I had that same dish for the first time a few months ago at a place in Collierville and it wasn't really very good. Today it was really good.

It included green peas and house made mustard. Also, kind of randomly, the Diet Coke tasted really good. It wasn't watered down and had a lot of flavor.

The price wasn't bad for what I got. The total was under $30 for before a tip. I will definitely be back!

Locke's is a seafood and steakhouse on Highway 315 just a little east I-55 in Sardis. I wen there last weekend, originally intending on going to Sardis Steak and Seafood which was on Main Street. Apparently this is the new location with new owners.

The food was very good and the prices were reasonable for what I got. My total before a tip was right at $50 but that was for a steak dinner, an appetizer, and a drink.

The steak was very good. I had been to a steakhouse in Corinth the week before and wasn't impressed and was in the mood for a good steak. The service was fantastic. I will definitely be back!

Habee's is a wings and sandwich shop on Summer Avenue at the corner of Freeman Street, just a little east of Highland Avenue.

I went there a couple of weeks while in Memphis for an appointment. Wings usually aren't my thing unless I'm in the mood for them specifically so I got a burger and fries. Both were very good and the services was great.

The total before a tip was right at $10 which was reasonable for what I got. Next time I will try the wings. I've been told they are very good by several people.

I was Corinth a few days ago and stopped by Russell's Beef House for dinner. I had been there once before but it had been over 30 years ago. It's located on Highway 72 basically at the corner of Fulton Drive.

I ordered a filet with a salad and baked potato. I don't like to give bad reviews but in an effort to be honest, I wasn't impressed. The filet had very little taste and had a lot of gristle in it and I had to put a lot of steak sauce on it. The salad was decent the potato was fine.

The service was pretty good and the prices were decent. My total including tax and a drink was just under $40. Honestly if I go back I will try something else besides a steak.

Boscoe's is a brewery and restaurant on Madison Avenue on Overton Square, just west of Cooper Street, across the street for Lafayette's. I went there last week for lunch.

I ordered a burger and fries and both were pretty good and the service was good. The total a drink and tax was right at $20. I will definitely go back.

There is limited parking in the area so you may have to park on the lot behind it or across the way in the paid parking garage. I got lucky because I was there early and got a spot on the street.
